Just another weekend on the Michael’s unit with Return Prison ministry encountering God…

“He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.” Malachi 4:6

Returning the hearts of children to their fathers and fathers to their children is one of our greatest missions.

That’s why our annual Father’s Day Red Carpet Event is one of our favorite days of the year. We witness fathers reconnect with sons and daughters they haven’t seen in years. We see grandfathers meet grandchildren for the very first time. We watch hope, healing, and restoration unfold right before our eyes.

This is more than an event. It is redemption on display. It is the heart of the Father being revealed. Every reunion, every embrace, every tear reminds us that no story is beyond God’s ability to restore.

For Father’s Day, we hosted our annual Dad’s Day Encounter inside the prison.

We rolled out the red carpet and gave fathers something many of them never thought they would experience again—time with their children.

For five hours, dads who have been separated from their families for years were able to hug, talk with, laugh with, and love their children. Some had not seen their kids in 10–15 years. Some had never met their children at all.

This is compassion.
This is what radical love looks like.

We looked these men in the eyes and reminded them that their story is not over. That change is possible. That redemption is real. That they can still lead. They can still love. They can still be Fathers…

FATHERS MEETING THEIR CHILDREN FOR THE FIRST TIME.

One of the most powerful days inside Michael’s Unit is our annual Father’s Day Red Carpet Event.

We’ve watched fathers meet their children for the very first time. Grandfathers hold grandchildren they had never met. Men serving long sentences reconnect with family members they haven’t seen in 10, 15, and even 20+ years.

This is more than an event.
For one day, we roll out the red carpet and remind these men that they are seen, valued, and loved by God. We treat them like royalty, invest in them as fathers, and encourage them to lead their families from where they are.

It’s a day filled with restoration, healing, tears, laughter, and unforgettable moments in the presence of God.

Today we had Pentecost in the Max Security prison… and FIRE FELL from Heaven. 🔥

Over 300 men attended the encounter. 24 salvations. 12 baptisms. Countless moments of freedom, healing, and breakthrough.

The presence of God filled the room in a way we will never forget. Hardened hearts softened. Chains broke. Tears fell. Jesus revealed Himself powerfully.

Today, Return Prison Ministry partnered with Mercy Culture Preparatory for a powerful day of evangelism inside Michael’s Unit — a max security prison.

We brought a group of seniors with us… not just to observe, but to lead.

They stepped in to help facilitate Connect with God, boldly sharing truth, love, and the presence of Jesus with men behind bars.

We’re Raising up spiritual leaders
who see the way God sees
and love the way God loves.

Last week, RETURN Prison Ministry was on the ground across Texas—bringing in-person, Presence-driven encounters into three different prisons in just three days.

Today at Michael’s Unit Max Security Prison, over 300 inmates packed into the chapel for our Corporate Encounter.

We were limited by capacity…
But because Mercy Culture Church sowed an additional 100 chairs into the prison ministry at this unit, we were able to fill every seat.

And when 300+ men lifted their voices singing “Thank You” — the Presence of the Lord felt thick in that room. BEST PART: they knew the song thanks to the pando app project!!

Chains are breaking.
Hearts are softening.
Hope is rising behind the walls.
This is what revival in prison looks like.
